Help Desk Consultant

As a Help Desk Consultant, you assist clients with their computer, phone, cable TV, door and lock related problems. A client can be anyone affiliated with the College who uses the college facilities in any of the computer labs, dormitories or offices as well as alumni and guests visiting the Raether Library and Information Technology Center. You must be willing to try to explain and solve various problems for clients and explain. Communication skills and a good disposition are valuable, if not essential assets. You are expected to be familiar with the software supported by Information Technology Services. Although this does not mean knowing everything, it does mean that you must be familiar enough with an application and available resources to be able to troubleshoot the problem. Finally, you must be willing and motivated to spend the necessary time to seek out and learn the information needed to solve clients' problems.

Help Desk Access Control Student Staff

As an Access Control student staff member, your primary responsibility is to program non-networked doors on campus. This job  involves providing detailed reports of lock problems during the programming process. You will be representing the ITS department as you work in the field. Communication skills and a professional demeaner are essential assets. You are expected to be familiar with the ticketing system supported by Information Technology Services.
